The Detroit Tigers spring training baseball game tickets will go on sale at the Jan monthly meeting. The game, as usual, will be a home game at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland. The opponents will be the National League East champs, Philadelphia Phillies. Game day is Wed., March 9th. As usual, we will be leaving about 9:30 AM to arrive in Lakeland around 11:00 in order to grab a bite to eat and see some batting practice. Game time is 1:05. Tickets this year are priced at $40.00, up slightly from last year because of a price increase for our reserved seats and the bus. The seats are in the same location as the ones that we had last year. And again, we will be eating, on our own, at the Outback Steakhouse, about three miles from the Stadium. We will then board the bus for our trip back to the villages, arriving about 7:30 PM.
Bring your check books to the January meeting as only those paying will be assured of a ticket. In past years, we sold out the first night but I will have a “wait list”. Checks are to be made out to The Michigan Club. For further information, contact Norm George, 750-9756
